Application update

Oooookay, so this week has been ridiculously busy for me so far. I’ve had an interview on Monday and Tuesday, with another one today. They’ve been going really well and the one yesterday invited me back for a 2nd interview only 30 minutes after finishing the first! So that was pretty good.

I’ve got one offer so far and it’s looking good for the others. Decisions, decisions, decisions… why does it have to be so hard!

I’ve finally finished sorting out my CV (barring the odd small change or two) and now am in a position to send it off to some companies to see if I can get some interviews and then maybe some job offers.

There’s a couple of companies I’ve liked the look of, so I think they are good places to start and then I’ll just see what happens from there. I’m looking at engineering consultants and general engineering companies at the moment, but it’s just so hard to find a company that looks like they’ll be doing the sort of work I want to go into.

But anyway, wish me luck for finding something!

Job hunting

As many people will know, having just come back from 10 months of travelling, I’m actively searching for a job. Well, to be more precise, a career. It’s been a bit of a struggle at the moment because I have had one offer but I turned it down because it’s not really what I want to do long term and they want me to start ASAP, when what I really want to do is have some time over the summer to really decide what I want to do.

I’ve been really looking into the world of technology & engineering and found a few interesting companies, but none really stick out to me. The other option is setting up a business, which is something I’d really like to do, but I think it’s a project for the future.

Anyway, I’m going to apply to a few companies and see what they have to offer.
