Well… we’ve been masively out of internet contact over the past couple of weeks, mainly due to the distinct lack of free wireless - we wern’t going to pay $4 an hour for internet, that money could be better spent on other things (no, not beer!).

The end of the trip is sadly in sight, but that means that we’ve been having an awesome last week doing lots of fun things. We’ve been to the Whitsunday islands and had a Long Island Ice Tea on Long Island, we’ve been to the Great Barrier Reef and swum with turtles and basically we’ve just been having an amazing time.

I’m not going to go into details as there’s too much to say, you’ll just have to wait until we’re back for some photos and explanations!!!

Next stop, Singapore!

Quick update

A very quick update (sorry for the lack of updates recently). We’re in Brisbane at the moment after spending a very nice time in Sydney and Gosford. We spent a couple of days in Sydney and then 4 days around Gosford with Anneliese (our friend from Whistler) which was amazing. We went wine tasting in the Hunter Valley and stayed the night at an awesome golf resort!

Anyway, we’re safe and sound in Brisbane with Helen’s uncle and aunt, where I’m sure we’re going to have a lovely time.

More soon!

Well, we’re now at the end of our Melbourne visit and we’re sitting watching the reply of the Eurovision song contest (in amongst checking the shocking England cricket team playing something which certainly isn’t cricket!).

Today we went to Ramsay Street (well, Pin Oak Court as it’s actually called) and went into the Dandenong mountains.

Tomorrow we’re off to Sydney for a few days, before heading up the coast to see Anneliese (our friend from Whistler).

Here’s some photos from today at Ramsay Street! Note that the “Ramsay Street” sign isn’t usually there, it’s a prop which was brought along by the “Official Neighbours Tour Bus” which just happened to also be there when we turned up!

Melbourne update

We’ve been having a great time here in Melbourne - it’s been great to be able to relax and enjoy looking around the city. We’re currently watching the cricket (England vs. New Zealand) - nothing changes does it!

It’s the weekend now and we’re going to do some things with Richard & Linda. We’re going to see some Australian wildlife and head into the Dandenongs we think!

Photo taking has slacked off a bit from the 1000s I took in New Zealand, but I thought I’d upload one from Melbourne Federation Square:

Australia!

We’re in Australia now, after a long day of travelling to Melbourne via Sydney. The flights were good and we were met at the airport by Uncle Richard. We’re now at their house and enjoying very much the luxury of staying in a house - something Helen and I havn’t done for a very long time!

Today we went to get Adam’s debit card and went into Melbourne to have a quick look around. We’re going to go into Melbourne again tomorrow to do some more exploring. Hopefully there’ll be some nice photos for us to upload soon!
