We’re in Pluckey, Kent for a couple of days with Helen’s uncle and aunt. So far we’ve been for a really nice walk in the countryside and had some great food.
Today we’re off out for a day trip, although not exactly sure where yet.
Anyway, should be fun! And we’re back in Coventry on Wednesday night!

I’ve just downloaded the WordPress application for my iPod Touch and am writing this post from my iPod!
It’s amazing really - can’t quite believe it’s this easy to write on my blog.
I really can’t wait to get an iPhone…

On Sunday, Helen and I went to Cambridge to meet up with a few friends and see my sister. It was a really nice time as we spent the time as tourists by going punting and wandering around the shops (although not slowly like the stupid tourists that wander around at 0.01mph!). It was great to relax and enjoy the place.
Now we’re back in Witney with Helen’s family which is great, but it has also meant we’ve had to start doing job searching again. I’ve just finished putting together my CV which I’ve managed to send off to a couple of places. Also, Paul is kindly helping me put together a new design for my online CV website, so hopefully that will be live soon.
Anyway, is it really worth getting a job when the stresses of writing CVs, covering letters and then sending them off by far outweighs the fun that can be had on a day visiting a lovely town in England? I think really I do want to get a job soon though… just still looking for that perfect job!

I’ve finally finished sorting out my CV (barring the odd small change or two) and now am in a position to send it off to some companies to see if I can get some interviews and then maybe some job offers.
There’s a couple of companies I’ve liked the look of, so I think they are good places to start and then I’ll just see what happens from there. I’m looking at engineering consultants and general engineering companies at the moment, but it’s just so hard to find a company that looks like they’ll be doing the sort of work I want to go into.
But anyway, wish me luck for finding something!

I have been using twitter for just over a month and I’m hooked!
Twitter is like the facebook ‘Paul is…’ part but without all the other crap that does with it!
They describe it better so here is a quick youtube video:
You need to a flashplayer enabled browser to view this YouTube video
If you want to check out what I’m doing, take a look at @paulbain on twitter.

I had my first slight issue with Leopard today. Basically I tried to plug my iPod touch in, but iTunes wouldn’t recognise it at all! It’s really strange, but I’m going through a troubleshooting process which is outlined on the Apple support website and hopefully that will work. I’m not sure if the issue is Leopard specific, but it was working fine before I upgraded, so I guess it must be something that Leopard did when it installed which decided to break iPod touch support.
Oh well, fingers crossed that this fix will all work smoothly.
