Currently StudentBlogs.co.uk is running on the popular blogging software WordPress. I very much like WordPress, and this website is running on it, but it isnt an aggregator. So, I have decided to give it an upgrade, and using the Zend Framework and Magpie RSS, I will create a new RSS aggregator designed for blogs! It is all in the very early stages of planning, but I intend to take a prototyping approach to this project, i.e. hack away until we get something which does the job, after all, this one's just for fun! If you have any suggestions or feature requests just leave a comment!

Quick update

Well, not much to report recently. We’ve just been skiing around and enjoying our week off. We’ve got training tomorrow though and then a full weekend of work before another week off!

One minor thing to report though is that yesterday I ended my ski day a little earlier than expected when I had a run in with a rock which gouged a nice hole in the bottom of my ski. Fortunately I managed to get it fixed for only $8.48 (~ÂŁ4.50) and now you can’t even tell where the gouge was! Now I just have to rewax and it’ll all be good. (Skiing on them today I could feel them dragging a little)

Today’s skiing was really fun and relaxed - Helen’s improved tonnes and it means we can ski lots more in one day. We got out to harmony today which takes you above the tree line for some stunning views. Sadly there was a lot of cloud as well so the photos didn’t come out very well.

Anyway, best get cracking as a cup of tea awaits… (how english!)
